Tianguis de los Martes Market (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico)
Michele Rapp, whom I met at a book signing for Markets of Paris at Porter Square Books in Cambridge, MA, is another fan of visiting markets wherever she travels. She sent me this post and photos featuring one of her favorite markets, the Tianguis de los Martes (Tuesday market) in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
This is where locals come to do all their shopping.
There are food items, an area for eating foods cooked on the spot, and all kinds of household items, clothes, tools, and games.
Everything, including zippers!
It stretched over a long distance and was an authentic local experience. We were the only tourists there. It was full of life and colors.
